New Collage Stamps!-New Release from LDRS Creative

It's release day at LDRS Creative and it is a good one!  I am in love with the new collage stamp sets. So, today I have a card tutorial for you using the Adventure Awaits stamp set.  This set is great for any occasion and I find it helpful in creating masculine cards.  The card I created could be given to anyone and I hope you like it!  So let's get started!

Card Supplies

  • Other Supplies

Card Instructions

  • Cut, score, and fold a top folding A2 card base from white card stock
  • Cut a piece of white card stock to 4.25" x 5.5"
  • Using the A2 Triple Stitched Quilt die, place the white card on top and run through the die machine
  • Ink blend black around the edges.  I used Raven Hybrid Ink.
  • Cut a piece of black card stock to 3.75" x 5".  Glue this in the center of the panel above.
  • Cut a piece of white card stock slightly smaller (1/8") than the black one.
  • Use the Ocean Waves stencil to create, what I am calling "tiger stripes".  I used Tangerine Dream and Lantern Yellow Hybrid inks with a VERY light hand.
  • The word, THING, is done using the Jordan Jumbo Alpha Dies.  I cut the letters twice from white card stock and once from black.  I glued the layers together.
  • After the layers were dry I added embossing/watermark ink on top covered it with clear embossing powder and heated it.  I repeated this twice.

  • Decide where you want the letters to be placed and then lay out the collage stamps from the new, Adventure Awaits stamp set.  I also used the textured stripe from the new Tracks & Treads set AND the Invitation stamp.  Trust me you can get carried away with these new collage-style, stamp sets! I used a stamping platform.  If you are good at free stamping then go for it!  Be wild!
  • I did emboss the word WILD (that is up to you).
  • I added some glossy accents to my little paw prints, glued the die-cut letters down, and added the panel to the black border with liquid glue.
That's it!  The card is done!  I really like these stamp sets as you can truly customize your cards to the recipient.  I would suggest you head over to the website to see all of the NEW PRODUCTS.
.  If this card inspired you to purchase any of the items I would be so thankful if you used the links above.  They provide a little commission to me at no cost to you.
