Embossing Fun! Card Tutorial

 Good Morning!

Just a quick card tutorial. This week has been filled with an embossing folder magic. The Online Card Classes from Jennifer McGuire & Kristina Werner never disappoint. They are an exceptional value and so much fun!

Today’s card is a result of those classes. I am also featuring some fairly new products from Gina K Designs. The April Showers stamps and dies are fantastic all occasion products. I needed a congratulations card for a friend and it was the perfect set!

Supplies Used

Card Instructions

  • Use Master Layout 1 and die-cut smaller rectangle from blue card stock
  • Emboss panel using Sweater Weather folder
  • Place same panel in Happy Hearts folder and emboss again
  • Take your Fresh Ink dye and lightly drag across the panel in all directions  you should be able to see the knit pattern come through the hearts

  • Set the panel aside to dry
  • Die-cut the oval and scalloped border with Master Layout 1. I used white for both. For the silver border I used Versamark ink and Sterling embossing powder.
  • Stamp your sentiment on the plain oval with Versamark ink and use same embossing powder.
  • Use your white scraps to stamp the elements. I used Raven Hybrid is ink and then clear embossing powder.
  • Color your images with your favorite medium. I used colored pencils. Use coordinating dies to cut. I cut some extras from plain white card scraps and glued to the back. I wanted dimension and find this easier than cutting tiny bits of foam tape. It’s also a great way to use scraps.
  • The little hearts on oval are just stamped directly and colored.
  • Glue elements to oval and then glue to scalloped oval. Add it to your embossed panel.
  • I put foam tape on the back of the panel and added to an A2 card base. Then I added a few sequins.
That’s it the card is done. I think it took less than an hour to make. I hope you were inspired by this card. If you choose to purchase any of the products I would love for you to use the links above. There is no additional cost to you.

Have a fantastic day and make some cards!  Drop a comment if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by!
